Cardiothoracic Radiology - PET CT
Dr Alsanjari is a multi-award winning radiologist and works as a consultant radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital with a subspecialty interest in cardiac, thoracic and PET-CT imaging.
He is a driven and dynamic radiologist with a proven track record in academia and clinical practice to date. Whilst completing his general radiology training in Surrey, he was awarded both the Frank Doyle and Gold Awards for the highest performing radiologist in both the postgraduate FRCR examinations, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and achieving the highest possible standards.
After completing general radiology training, he undertook two years of subspecialty fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging in highly competitive schemes at Imperial College Hospital and the Royal Brompton and Harefield to further his interests in Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI and is Level III accredited in both modalities. This level of accreditation is reserved to recognise advanced level training for those responsible to lead and manage a cardiac imaging service. He is now the Cardiac MRI Lead at Frimley Park Hospital.
Alongside his role in cardiothoracic imaging, Senan is an accredited PET-CT reporter and has regular weekly sessions at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre to support the PET-CT oncology service.

Dr Amies qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2007. During this time he completed an intercalated BSc (Hons) degree in medical imaging.

During my training, he completed a visiting Fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and a 1-year international Fellowship at St.Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.

Dr Barber is a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging.
He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Cape Town Groote Schuur Hospital in South Africa. After completing basic surgical training in London and becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005, he pursued a career in diagnostic radiology. He developed his musculoskeletal interest at St George's Hospital in London and took up an Honorary Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford in his final year of training.
He has several peer reviewed radiological publications and presentations at international meetings. Dr Barber has expertise in magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography and a wide variety of interventional procedures. He specialises in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging with particular interest in ultrasound guided musculoskeletal interventions. His philosophy is a patient centred approach working in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Dr Barker graduated from Imperial Medical School in 1999 during which time he completed a BSc in Neuroscience at Charing Cross Hospital. He completed his general medical rotation in Kent and Worcestershire, obtaining MRCP in 2004 and spent one year abroad working in Perth, Australia.
He completed his general Radiology training at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London, obtaining a Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2007. He also undertook a fellowship in Neuroradiology at The National Hospital or Neurology & Neurosurgery, Great Ormond Street and St. George's Hospitals from 2008 - 2009.

He subsequently undertook a year long Academic Consultant post at University College Hospital, London whilst completing a PhD in Small Bowel Imaging.

Dr Emily Daulton qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 2010, and obtained her Fellowship to the Royal College of Radiologist in 2015.
She undertook her early training primarily in the Surrey area and progressed to sub-specialist clinical years in London, undertaking training in oncological imaging and breast imaging in the Imperial group of hopsitals, with secondment to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
Dr Daulton was successful a obtaining a fellowship year at the Royal Marsden Hospitals where she furthered her sub-speciality interest in oncological imaging, in particular breast imaging. During this time she authored a book chapter and presented at multiple international conferences.
Dr Daulton was appointed to a substantive consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital in 2018 as a breast radiologist with an interest in oncological imaging. She has expertise in all breast imaging modalities and interventional procedures and has recently supported the use of new imaging and sampling techniques into Frimley Park Hospital. She has strong links with the surgeons, oncologists and nursing staff to ensure the very best care for her patients. As well as her specialist areas, she also reports and performs general diagnostic imaging include plain radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

Dr Iyengar qualified as a doctor and subsequently as a General Surgeon at Grant Medical School, Mumbai, one of the oldest medical institutions in India.
He initially pursued a career in Cardiothoracic Surgery, training at Southampton General Hospital, before training in radiology in The Peninsula Radiology Academy in Plymouth. He subsequently undertook research in advanced cardiac cross-sectional imaging and completed specialist training in cardiac radiology at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
Dr Iyengar was appointed as a consultant at Birmingham City and Sandwell Hospital NHS Trust in 2012, where he established the cardiac CT service. He joined Frimley Health in 2013 and is a consultant at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospital.
His major clinical interests are in chest and cardiac radiology and he has led the development of cardiac CT and MRI at Wexham Park and Heatherwood hospitals. His other interests include developing improved diagnostic pathways for lung cancer.

Dr Dhruv Patel was educated at Epsom College, Surrey and the University of Bristol Medical School, qualifying in 2003.
After surgical training in London (including Urology at the Royal Marsden Hospital), he was appointed to the St George's Hospital London Radiology training programme in 2007. He was the Specialist Ultrasound Fellow at St George's Hospital for the final year of his training from 2011 to 2012 and combined this with a further role as the London Deanery Advanced Cardiac CT Fellow. He was appointed to his appointment as a Consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation in October 2012.
Dr Patel's main clinical interests are General ultrasound including interventional and musculoskeletal and Uroradiology. He is the Clinical Lead for Ultrasound and has established the new technique of microbubble-contrast enhanced Ultrasound at Frimley Park Hospital.

Dr Perrio completed his medical training and a BSc degree in medical physics at St George's University of London in 2010. He then entered foundation training in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery before starting his Clinical Radiology training in the same area.
Stephen completed two years of subspecialty radiology training at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 2017 following which he was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital.
His primary area of clinical interest is gynaecological imaging including both benign and cancer imaging (US, CT, MRI and biopsy/drainage diagnostic procedures). He is a member of the gynaeoncology multidisciplinary team at Frimley and also attends the network cancer meeting weekly to discuss complex cases. He is the imaging lead for the endometriosis multidisciplinary team and the BSGE accredited Frimley Endometriosis Centre. Stephen has significant expertise in fertility imaging and provides a dedicated HyCoSy/HSG service at Frimley Park personally performing over 400 studies each year.
Dr Perrio also provides subspecialty Head and Neck imaging services to include dedicated head and neck ultrasound, thyroid ultrasound, imaging guided FNA/biopsy, CT and MRI imaging. He reports CT colonography studies both for symptomatic patients and as part of the national bowel cancer screening service.
In addition to these areas of special interest Stephen provides general radiology imaging services including plain x-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
Outside of his clinical work Stephen is the quality and governance lead in radiology at Frimley Park Hospital with a passion for identifying, implementing and assuring best practice within the department.

Dr Ramsay has a subspecialty interest in Paediatric Imaging, having completed subspecialty training at St Georges' Hospital. She spent 18 months at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital completing a post CCT Fellowship.
She specialises in imaging children in all modalities, including ultrasound, Xray, CT and MRI. She works closely with the paediatricians at Frimley Park Hospital.
Dr Lauren Ramsay qualified from the University of Southampton Medical School in 2009. Two years after qualifying she was accepted onto the St Georges' Hospital radiology training scheme and obtained her FRCR in 2014.
She completed a Medical Education Fellowship in 2017, as well as obtaining a PG Cert (merit) in Medical Education.
Dr Ramsay has published several book chapters as well as original research. She is a peer reviewer for paediatric paper submissions to the journal Clinical Radiology. She has organised national and international courses in the field of paediatric imaging.

Dr. Sarvananthan graduated from Imperial College London in 2008 with distinction honours and a First-Class BSc degree. She commenced her NHS career in academic surgical training, undertaking the prestigious Darzi Fellowship before transitioning to Radiology. She has been practising in the field of Radiology since 2011 specialising in Breast Radiology having completed a Fellowship at Northwick Park Hospital and NLBSS services.

Dr Skippage started work as a Consultant Radiologist in January 2010. Her primary area of interest is Breast Imaging with her current post including sessions at both Frimley Park Hospital & The Jarvis Breast Screening Unit.
She undertook her Radiology training based at St George's Hospital in South West London which culminated in a Final Year Fellowship in Breast Imaging covering symptomatic and screening services. During her last year of training she also trained with Consultant Radiologists at St Bartholomew's Hospital in central London, becoming proficient in reporting body MRI with a particular interest in Gynaecological imaging.
She is proficient in all methods of breast imaging including reading mammograms, performing and interpreting breast and axillary ultrasound and Breast MRI. As well as seeing and assessing patients with breast symptoms, she works as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme and is therefore qualified to interpret screening mammograms. Her roles at both centres also includes the assessment of ladies deemed at high risk of developing breast cancer and she is able to advise on the more intensive screening programmes that such ladies may require.
Her skills including performing fine needle aspirations and core biopsies using both ultrasound and mammographic guidance. She also undertakes localisation procedures for patients due to undergo surgery.
As part of the Frimley Park team she has good working relations with the other members of the multidisciplinary team including Breast Surgeons and Oncologists.
She also provides imaging services for the Gynaecology team, performing US imaging as well as interpreting CT or MRI images that may be required as part of further diagnostic workup.

Dr Kirsten Stafford graduated from University of Cape Town Medical School in 1999. She worked in South Africa for 2 years before moving to the UK in 2002.
She trained in General Medicine for 5 years and completed the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), before starting Radiology training at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 2007. After completing the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2013, she then did a fellowship in Breast Radiology at The Royal Free Hospital in 2014 and was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at Frimley Park Hospital in 2015.
Dr Stafford is a General Diagnostic Radiologist with a primary subspecialist interest in Breast Radiology. She is experienced in all aspects of Breast Imaging including mammograms, tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammograms, ultrasound and MRI. She is also experienced in all aspects of Interventional Breast Radiology including ultrasound-guided, stereotactic/tomosynthesis-guided and vacuum assisted procedures. She has a close working relationship with the Breast multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, pathologists and breast care nurses.
Dr Stafford's secondary subspecialist interest is Paediatric Radiology, including ultrasound, xray, CT and MRI reporting.

Dr Taylor qualified from St Bartholomew's and Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998. He completed his basic surgical training at Royal Surrey County Hospital and MRCS examinations in 2002.
He subsequently obtained and completed his Specialist Registrar training in Clinical Radiology in 2007. His SW Thames Radiology rotation included experience at the St George's Hospital, Atkinson Morly Neurosurgical Unit, Royal Marsden Hospital and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. During which time he underwent Focussed Individualised Interventional Radiology training at the HPB Unit at King's Hospital London. After obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologist he successfully completed an Interventional Fellowship at St George's Hospital and was awarded the Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship at UCH, London.
In 2010 he obtained Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which has recently been rated the second best healthcare trust in the country. Over the last three years he has been an integral member of the Regional Vascular Unit performing all types of complex aortic and peripheral interventions. Frimley Park Hospital is the regional vascular hub unit with supporting spoke hospitals at Basingstoke and Guildford. Recently he has been part of the development of thrombolysis services for acute deep vein thrombosis and renal denervation for resistant hypertension.
He is an active member of the Surrey Vascular Group which serves West Surrey, East Berkshire and North Hampshire as well as the British Society of Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe and the recently established Regional Interventional Radiology On Call Network. He works closely with the Urology Department to offer all types of uro-interventional procedures including percutaneous nephrolithotomy and the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department to offer uterine fibroid embolisation in selected patients. Using the experience gained from the Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship he has developed a radio-frequency ablation service for the minimally invasive treatment of lung tumours.
Whilst trained in all aspects of Diagnostic imaging he has developed a special interest in Hepatobiliary, Small bowel, Gastro-intestinal, Urology, Vascular and Oncological Imaging and provides both local and regional MDT imaging support for these services. He has published in the following peer reviewed international publications: Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Journal Vascular Surgery, European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, British Journal of Urology and Journal of Endovascular Surgery.

It depends on the type of scan: Ultrasound & Interventional Procedures: Yes. A consultant radiologist carries out the scan or procedure directly and will speak with you during your appointment. X-ray, CT, & MRI Scans: A radiographer will perform the scan, and a consultant radiologist will independently examine and report on your images afterward.
